Large White and Orange Horsehair Raku Pottery A177257 Available in quarter sizes 5–9This wheel thrown ceramic vessel showcases the rich, earthy effects of the Raku and horsehair firing techniques. The surface is not glazed; rather, the piece is covered in several layers of white and orange terra sigillata and hand polished to a smooth finish. The artist uses real horsehair on the surface, which leave fascinating marks when the piece is fired. Signed on bottom. Each piece is unique and will vary. For decorative use only. Raku pieces
